Juve fall to Lazio 1-0Weah and McKennie come off benchUSMNT stars fresh off CONCACAF Nations League winGettyWHAT HAPPENED?
It was a drab effort, with Juventus putting in the type of performance that has drawn Massimiliano Allegri so much criticism throughout his tenure with the club. The Old Lady had few ideas and even fewer big moments as they struggled to do much of anything on the attacking end in an utterly dry and uninspiring match.
Even the introductions of McKennie and Weah could do little to bring life to the Biancneri, and in the end, they were punished for it, as Adam Marusic scored a 93rd-minute winner for Lazio.

The loss certainly won't help Juventus in the title race, with Inter essentially coasting to a Scudetto this season. Juve's spot in the top four is still theirs to lose, but a loss Saturday certainly doesn't help their odds.
The Bianconeri are on 59 points, five ahead of fourth-place Bologna and eight ahead of fifth-place Roma. Both Bologna and Roma have a game in hand, which means Juve's top-four spot could get a bit shaky with any more bad results throughout the remainder of the campaign.

Both McKennie and Weah began on the bench after having busy international breaks. The two started both the CONCACAF Nations League semifinal win over Jamaica and the win in the finale over Mexico. Both were likely rested due to their busy weeks of travel.
McKennie's spot in the XI will remain secure going forward, but Weah's role in the team still is one off the bench in a supersub role.
Getty ImagesGOAL'S RATINGS
Weston McKennie (6/10):
Came on in the 45th minute to add a lift to a static midfield. Didn't get enough touches to really add much to the match.
Tim Weah (6/10):
Earned himself a yellow card for a hard foul 10 minutes after coming on, but didn't do much else.
